(Please "submit" or "turn in[TL1] " this as an assignment rather than "replying" below.) (Answer at least 4 of the following found at the end of the video): 1. What motivates you? 2. What are your core values? 3. Why would getting honest feedback from others be helpful in becoming more self-aware? 4. What makes you unique? 5. What are your 3 main strengths and 3 main weaknesses? 6. How would you describe your personality?
Day 1 – Personality Profile One way you can learn to be an even better team member and intern is by learning more about yourself from an objective instrument or source. Taking a personality profile can be just such an instrument. Here you will find a profile that should give you some additional info about yourself: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp While it won't take long to take the assessment (it takes less than 5 minutes for most), once it is complete and your results are obtained, please read about your personality type. Focus on the info under the "Self-Development" header. There click on and read "Your (type) Description." By reading the full description, you should be able to report back the following info. Remember "submit" or "turn in" this as an assignment rather than "replying" below: 1) What is your Type (the 4 letters that represent your personality)? 2) What did you find most interesting in reading about your Type? 3) Did you think it accurately described you? Why or why not? 4) What is one famous person from the list of famous people with your Type? http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

You have been added to this small group because of where you are going to serve this summer. If you want to post something only for your small group to see be sure to you are in the right place to do so. Assignments specific to your small group will be posted here but will show up in the main feed in Edmodo. Day 1 - Country Specific Research (for Zoom call Wednesday) Your next assignment as a group will be to learn more about the country you are going to serve in. Knowing some basics about where your internship will be located can be very helpful. Your team members / small group members should each choose one of the following topics to research. Please start your research at the following website: http://www.executiveplanet.com/ . Although the site’s purpose is business etiquette it has some great info for you as well and also recommends other sites once you click into your country's flag and scroll to “useful websites.” Keep in mind on the Zoom call on Wednesday you will be sharing your research with each other. Which topic do you want to research? (Indicate here by replying): 1. Country’s History - plan to give some interesting facts about it. 2. What is polite and rude there? 3. Current religious state (including facts about the current primary religion if it is something other than Protestant Christian.) 3. “Things to know about the culture before you visit.” (Plan to google this phrase and see what comes up.) 4. Language, climate and what the weather should be like during your time there. 5. Economy, currency, current exchange rate and what a few things typically cost there. 6. What do college students enjoy doing there? 7. Other topics that did not make the list? (If you take this one please let me know the topic in your "reply" below.) At our next Zoom breakout session (on Wednesday) you will meet and talk about your findings. At that time you will have about 7-10 minutes each to discuss your research. Let me know if you have any questions. Also there will be a discussion guide [TL1] for that breakout session posted here - if you need it. Once you have your topic to research and the research completed, please “submit” the word done here in Edmodo. Day 1 - Country Specific Research for individuals (for Zoom call Wednesday) Your next assignment will be to learn more about the country you are going to serve in. Knowing some basics about where your internship will be located can be very helpful. Because each of your team members / small group members are serving in different places, we’d like you to pick 3 topics from the list below to research. Topics to possibly research: 1. Once you have your topic to research and the research completed, please submit the word done here in Edmodo. Day 1 - Your Testimony (for Zoom Call on Wednesday) On the next Zoom call you will also be sharing with your small group your own testimony (in less than 10 minutes). Having your testimony prepared and practices can be very helpful as you encounter non-Christians during your internship. Your story can be a great way to introduce others Jesus' story. Giving your testimony (in a brief amount of time) requires taking some time to think through how God has been at work in your life. Take a few minutes to map out your own testimony including the following: 1) My life before Christ. 2) My encounter with Christ. 3) My life since being in relationship with Christ.
Also keep in mind: * Be brief. * You do have a story. * Make it personal and genuine. * It should give God glory. * It should be clear.
What is your testimony? Please “submit” the word "ready" indicating that you are ready to give your testimony to your small group via Zoom on Wednesday.
